Service

Export & vessel support.

Bulk vessel chartering, stevedoring liaison, and loading-window discipline for petroleum coke export movements out of the U.S. Gulf.

What this is

We hold the export-side execution.

The vessel leg of a petcoke export program is where the schedule compresses and where money moves on the laytime clock. The stevedore needs to know when to call gangs. The terminal needs the cargo staged in the right pile. The vessel needs a confirmed berth and a confirmed loading rate. We hold those moving parts under a single charter party and a single account contact.

This service is built for the petcoke parcel sizes the Gulf actually ships — typically Panamax (60,000–80,000 metric tons) and Supramax (50,000–60,000 mt). Smaller Handysize parcels are workable but rarely economic for export petcoke.

Vessel sizes we work with

Sized to the parcel, not the other way around.

Panamax

60,000–80,000 mt class. Typical for direct-route long-haul Asia or Mediterranean destinations from Gulf-Coast load ports. Draft-restricted at some Houston-area berths; we route accordingly.

Supramax

50,000–60,000 mt class with onboard cranes — workable at more terminals along the Gulf and useful when the discharge port is gearless. The default option for medium-haul parcels to the Mediterranean and West Africa.

What we hold under the charter party

Loading-window discipline, end to end.

  • Voyage chartering. Voyage charter terms negotiated against the cargo size and the discharge port's draft and gear profile. Time charter considered only on multi-parcel programs.
  • Berth and terminal coordination. Berth nomination, vessel arrival window, and pre-arrival paperwork (NOR, master's declarations, customs entry) handled against the terminal's scheduling clock.
  • Stevedoring. Stevedore selection, gang call, and loading-rate discipline. Performance tracked per shift against the contractual load rate.
  • Laytime and demurrage. Laytime clock managed under the charter party. Demurrage exposure tracked daily; statements of facts reconciled with the terminal and the vessel agent at completion.
  • Surveyor and quality at load. Independent draft survey and sampling at load port; quality certificate issued against the bill of lading.
